Even after the 2022 Rape and murder of Patricia Newnum Homestead Healthcare Center forges ahead putting residents at risk of Rape death and murder. In 2022 a homestead Healthcare resident named Dwayne freeman raped and smothered 80 YEAR old hospice resident Patricia NEWNUM to her horrendous death. Freeman had threatened other residents with sexual assault only days before the murder. How are things like this still happening in 2024? 

Right now in 2024 there is a resident named barbare Gallen at homestead that has reported being raped by another resident resident named Kellen McCarty in the facility. Barbara reported this to the Executive director of the facility Justin Lai and it has been seamlessly swept under the rug by staff in the facility. There is absolutely no documentation of a police report being made by or on behalf of Barbara Gallen pertaining to the alleged rape. It's also worth mentioning that the alleged offender Kellen McCarty has failure to register as a sexual offender on his my case record.

Less than an hour after Barbara Gallen reported the rape to me and thanked me for being one of the only staff to listen. I was suspended for alleged abuse of a resident. That resident being Barbara Gallen. I was told by Justin Lai (E.D) that the reason I was suspended was Mrs.Gallen told him "I made her uncomfortable". I responded " she just thanked me for listening and asked me to come back to get her sons information". To which Justin Lai responded "you believe a woman who lied and said she was raped and she wasn't ". Minutes later the other suspending party said "yeah thankfully one of my other workers was in the room and reported you to us". I know that I was suspended because I promised Mrs.Gallen I'd bring this issue to the forefront and her cries for help wouldn't remain unheard. 

Homestead Healthcare is a conglomerate of conspirators seeking to drain residents of their finances while abusing their human rights continuously. And also stealing, harboring and misappropriating their medications (Narcotics)

Of course I reported to Indiana department of health. There is a man named Tim Bailey, who is reported to do most all wellness checks at HHomestead. He says things like "I come and they never talk to me". When I know several residents being abused and neglected PERSONALLY that are almost literally dying for a chance to speak with a state representative. I've heard residents say things like "state came, nobody told me", "state came, nobody woke me up", and "state came they kept saying they were in a meeting". The residents that actually need to talk to the state are never notified a state representative is present. Or just Denied the opportunity to speak to the state representative.

In regards to another observation of the Indiana Department Of Health, Tim Bailey is a former employee of homestead, and what I and many others believe to be a part of their conglomerate and a conflict of interest in residents care. Which could also contribute to residents not feeling safe or comfortable enough to speak to him. I've heard from several residents that they did in-fact speak to him and that no further action was taken! 

Doctor associated with Homestead Healthcare intentionally misdiagnosis residents with intention to keep facility in operation. Example: (T****** M*******) * a resident who sexually harassed, intimidated and physically assualted me and several other aides continuously* is Diagnosed by doctor Pragnesh Radadiya as having "unspecified" Dementia and Alzheimer's. T****** M******* has been a resident since 2013, it is 2024. If alzheimers is a progressively degerative disease of the brain *which from onset to death generally lasts eleven years* how is it that T****** M******* in 2024 Never forgets faces or names or workers and friends, events from months ago, me reporting him harassing me, Conversations from weeks previous or phone numbers of friends and businesses. T****** M******* also operates a play station , cellular phone and a laptop exceedingly well. With dementia since 2013?

sexual harassment and assault of nurse aides from residents goes undocumented and swept under rug. Multiple nurse aides male and female have reported being sexually harassed by a resident T****** M*******. To which leadership staff responds "It is the residents rights to do these things" . "Were in their home". What "these things" consist of is. Residents continuously in appropriately touching the nurse aides making hypersexual comments, grappling aides stomach,breasr and buttocks, calling aides into the room and beginning to masturbate during care, pulling up porn intentionally while aide is present and intimidating aides about verbally reporting the incidents to leadership staff. Leadership staff continuously says it is the residents right to do such things. They say this in the presence of the residents also!

Homestead not only cultivates an environment where sexual harassment is accepted, they curate sexual harassment and assault, and embrace it in the facility.  If leadership is telling residents it is within their rights to sexually harass and assualt employees that are able bodied and cognitively aware, they are secondarily telling recurrent residential offenders that it is their right to rape, sexually assualt, harass and intimidate other residents. With no fear of disciplinary action. 

Homestead healthcare Misappropriates, harbors, steals, and denies residents medications as a form of behavioral retaliation. I've seen first hand residents being denied and delayed medication for days on end. I have also heard the Nurses and Lpns plainly continuing to not order medications for residents.(Antibiotics for UTI, yeast infections and Narcotics for pain). Nurses falsifying documentation and consistently denying residents their medication for reasons that don't make any logical sense. I have heard nurses and LPNs say that a disabled residen "missed their medication". How does someone who can not walk miss medication that is supposed to be delivered to them? Residents report feeling as if they haven't been given medication due to interactions they've had with staff where the resident questioned or reprimanded staffs behavior. I've also witnessed residents smoke times being taken away, their electronics, and residents having police called on them for getting fresh air in the courtyard.

Homestead healthcare uses dementia and Alzheimer's Diagnosis to circumvent reports of abuse and neglect from staff and offender residents. The facility continuously pushes off reports of abuse, misappropriation, harassment and neglect using dementia and Alzheimer's in residents as a scapegoat. When it is completely apparent to the naked eye the horrendous activity that is going on in the facility. 

I write this with intention to cause a national uproar and bring attention to primarily the abuse, neglect and mistreatment of our elders and secondarily the nurse aides that care for them in places like homestead healthcare center. As a people it is our duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves against inhumane acts like this.
