We, the undersigned, call on the Irish Government and the HSE to take immediate action to ensure that Daniel, a 14-year-old boy with a number of preexisting conditions, including Spina Bifida, receives the urgent scoliosis spinal surgery he desperately needs.

Daniel's condition is worsening due to continued delays in Ireland’s healthcare system. His pain is unbearable, his mobility is deteriorating, and his quality of life is rapidly declining. Without immediate intervention, his future health and well-being are at serious risk.

Despite the well-documented failures in providing timely healthcare for children with spina bifida, Daniel continues to be left waiting. His case is not just another statistic—it is a life hanging in the balance. His family has fought tirelessly, but they cannot do this alone.

We demand that:

• Daniel's surgery be scheduled immediately to prevent further irreversible damage to his health.
• The Irish Government and the HSE provide a clear and public explanation as to why children like Daniel continue to be left suffering due to systemic delays.

Daniel deserves to live without unnecessary pain. He deserves a chance at a better future. We urge Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, the HSE, and all responsible parties to take action now.
