We are petitioning the United States Postal Service (USPS) to reconsider and revise our current postal jurisdiction. Despite our area being geographically closer to the Savage Post Office—just a 3-minute drive away—the USPS has designated our neighborhood under the Jessup postal zone. The Jessup Post Office is a 12-minute drive from our community, creating significant inconvenience for many residents, especially the elderly, those without reliable transportation, and families with young children.

The geography of our area clearly shows that the Savage Post Office is the more practical and accessible option for our residents. Postal services should prioritize the convenience and needs of the people they serve, and a change in zip code would greatly improve service efficiency, reduce unnecessary travel time, and better align with the needs of our community.

Moreover, the Savage 7K race route passes directly through our neighborhood, further underscoring the connection our community has with the area culturally and physically. This highlights that our neighborhood naturally belongs to Savage, not Jessup.

We respectfully request that USPS adjust our zip code to reflect the Savage postal zone, ensuring more convenient, reliable access to postal services for our residents.
