Petition to Revise 8th Semester Exam Fees for Final Year Students (KKWIEER)

We, the final year students of KKWIEER, would like to bring attention to the unusually high examination fees for the 8th semester.

In the 7th semester, students had 5 subjects and were charged ₹1650. However, in the 8th semester, students have only 2 subjects, yet the examination fee has been increased to ₹2100. Charging a higher fee for significantly fewer papers appears inconsistent and unreasonable.

Additionally, most final year students are currently away for internships. Many are living in different cities and managing expenses such as accommodation, travel, and daily living costs. This sudden increase in exam fees creates an unnecessary financial burden during an already expensive period for students.

The 8th semester also has a reduced academic workload compared to the 7th semester, which makes the increased fee difficult to justify. A fair fee structure should ideally reflect the number of subjects and the actual examination workload.

We respectfully request the college administration to review and revise the 8th semester examination fees and reduce them to a reasonable and fair amount. This will help ease the financial burden on final year students and ensure that exam fees remain proportionate and student-friendly.

We request the authorities to kindly consider this matter and take appropriate action.
