Hi everyone my name is Riley and as a member of the Riverview Highschool band, finding out our band director, Mr. Luster is being forced to resign unreasonably from his job all because our administration and principal believe he is not fit for his job when they the admin simply do not support or show up for us as band students.

They do not see the destruction they've caused are going to continue to cause with 30% of the program being choiced into the school just for our band alone. To lose that many kids in the possibility of having to replace the director would destroy the band beyond repair. If we lose Mr. Luster, we lose the excellence that us as kids have worked so hard for. It's not just about us as highschoolers bout our parents too. They've pushed us through stressful times, provided us and our friends transportation, and most of all showed up for us. 

We are more than a simple extracurricular; We are a community and family bonded together by celebrations, achievements, struggles and amazing moments to look back on. He has taught us lessons that can never be taught in a classroom like developing leadership and social skills. Even more special than that he has brought us millions of memories among our band and dedication to us as kids. He has pushed us to success that has allowed our schools band to make history at state championships this past year with becoming finalist and making 3rd place in the 4A class. Nobody can replace his talent and taste, and nobody can throw away the memories amongst the thriving program we wish to keep, so help us today.
