To the Administration of Holden R-III School District,

We, the undersigned parents, students, alumni, and community members, respectfully request that Coach Todd Shanks be retained as the Head Coach of the Holden Girls Basketball Program.

Since taking on this role, Coach Shanks has demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment, and integrity. Over the past two years, he has worked tirelessly to build a positive culture within the program—one centered on respect, accountability, teamwork, and personal growth.

Coach Shanks has made a meaningful impact on student-athletes by:

-Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all players

-Building trust and strong relationships with athletes and families

-Teaching life skills such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork

-Representing Holden with professionalism and pride

Consistency in leadership is critical to the continued development and success of the program. The foundation that Coach Shanks has established is already making a difference, and a change at this time would disrupt that progress.

We believe that retaining Coach Shanks is in the best interest of the student-athletes and the Holden community as a whole.

We respectfully ask that you consider the voices of those directly impacted and allow Coach Shanks to continue leading the Holden Girls Basketball Program.
