Ross Farm Museum has claimed that in an effort "to dispel rumours, our horses are all fine and healthy" (Facebook post, May 24/25). They have claimed that the horses were removed from the farm because "some of them needed a little bit of rehabilitation because they were older... but, more importantly, because we need to do some upgrades to the facility" (Global News article, June 3/25). Of note, Willy was born in 2016 and Bonnie was born in 2017. This is not old.

On June 2, 2025 two horses who most definitely are not fine and healthy - Kate and Willy - were permanently transferred into the care of Susan Fraser.

On June 10, 2025 three horses - Maverick, Bonnie and her foal Mojo - were taken back to Ross Farm Museum.

Since returning to the farm, public access to the horses has been strictly prohibited. In fact, they are under lock and key and physically barricaded.

To date, no one in management at Ross Farm Museum has acknowledged the seriousness of the animal neglect that was initially discovered in the fall, nor has anyone taken responsibility.

We continue to fight for the rights of these animals and seek a third party, unbiased investigation into this situation. Only once a pattern of transparency and accountability has been established from those in leadership positions at Ross Farm Museum can we begin to trust that the changes that have been made while they have been under the microscope will continue long term.
