On October 13, I posted a petition bringing to attention Joseph Massad’s comments from an Electronic Intifada article that I found inappropriately glorifying the October 7 Hamas terror attack in Israel which murdered over 1,400 people. In under four days, the petition amassed over 50,000 signatures from people all over the world who were also shocked by the remarks. 

Yesterday, change.org, chose to put my petition under review without any warning nor any indication for what it is being reviewed for. As my petition followed the guidelines clearly, I was very shocked. I have since reached out to change.org but have not received any response. 

Since its very abrupt stop, I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of requests to sign the petition, with more interest than ever before. 

Today, I call on all of you to help me try to reinstate the petition. It is critical to understand that if every petition is removed due to a complaint, change.org would become useless as anyone on the other side of any issue would be able to unilaterally veto and silence any petition.

It is critical that those 50,000+ voices are heard.
