Petition to stop Nottingham airfield from becoming a large housing estate. This site is of historical value and Is home to other businesses. Airfields for general aviation are becoming very scarce in the uk due to building activities and need to be protected from the threat of development. 

Every airfield that is used as building land affects the general aviation community and also means that we no longer have the facility. In recent years Hucknall airfield has become a housing estate and no other airfield exists in the local area. The closest GA airfields are now Tatenhill / Gamston / Leicester. Tollerton is home to a lot of aircraft and is a thriving community and as mentioned earlier  is of historical value also. 

Now is the time to act to protect this facility and stop the site becoming yet another housing estate.
