The Issue
The Wayne Township New Jersey Township council is set to vote on a emergent surprise ordnance in 48 hours on January 4 2023 to give a 647% pay raise to part time mayor Chris Vergano during the regularly scheduled meeting.
Under Title 4 A the People by virtue of petition may challenge the pay raise and have the question placed as an initiative in the next scheduled General Election.
5% of the registered voters of Wayne Township New Jersey are required for this petition to place the initiative question before the voters.
