To the Honorable Dave Sunday, Attorney General of Pennsylvania:

We, the undersigned residents, healthcare workers, and community stakeholders of Bradford, Pennsylvania, and surrounding regions, petition your office to investigate and halt Kaleida Health’s anti-competitive shutdown of our healthcare system. 

Kaleida Health has stripped Bradford of its hospital emergency department and is currently moving forward to shutter The Pavilion, our 95-bed skilled nursing facility. When local leaders brought LECOM Health to the table to buy the campus and restore medical care to our town, Kaleida Health blocked the deal by demanding a permanent non-compete agreement to ensure that no one can ever operate a hospital in Bradford again.
Kaleida Health is intentionally starving our town of medicine to force our families to drive 30 minutes away to their hospital in Olean, New York, protecting their corporate profits at the expense of our health and safety. 

By signing this petition, we demand that the PA Attorney General:
    •    Investigate Kaleida Health for blatant antitrust violations and predatory real estate practices.
    •    Strike down any non-compete clauses or restrictive covenants Kaleida tries to place on our hospital infrastructure.
    •    Protect Rural Access by ensuring another qualified healthcare operator can buy or lease the BRMC campus to bring back emergency and long-term inpatient care.
Our community is not done fighting. We deserve localized healthcare, not corporate gridlock.
