We, the undersigned, urgently call upon the United Nations, its Member States, and relevant international bodies to invoke the principle of Responsibility to Protect (R2P) in response to the ongoing and systematic violations of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Iranian authorities have repeatedly demonstrated an inability and unwillingness to protect their population from grave crimes, including extrajudicial killings, torture, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, and widespread repression of peaceful dissent.

Under the Responsibility to Protect doctrine, when a state manifestly fails to safeguard its population from crimes against humanity, the international community has a moral and legal obligation to act through peaceful, diplomatic, humanitarian, and legal means.

We therefore call for:

Independent international investigations into crimes against humanity in Iran

Accountability of Iranian officials through international legal mechanisms

Protection of Iranian civilians, activists, journalists, women, and minorities

Coordinated international pressure to end systematic repression

Silence and inaction only embolden perpetrators. The people of Iran deserve protection, dignity, and justice.

ما امضاکنندگان این دادخواست، از سازمان ملل متحد، دولت‌های عضو و نهادهای بین‌المللی ذی‌ربط می‌خواهیم که اصل «مسئولیت حمایت» (R2P) را در قبال مردم ایران فعال کنند.

حکومت جمهوری اسلامی ایران به‌طور مستمر در حفاظت از شهروندان خود ناتوان یا نامایل بوده و مرتکب نقض‌های گسترده و سیستماتیک حقوق بشر شده است، از جمله کشتار فراقضایی، شکنجه، بازداشت‌های خودسرانه و سرکوب خشونت‌آمیز اعتراضات مسالمت‌آمیز.

بر اساس اصل R2P، زمانی که یک دولت در حفاظت از مردم خود در برابر جنایت علیه بشریت شکست می‌خورد، جامعه جهانی مسئولیت دارد از طریق ابزارهای صلح‌آمیز، حقوقی و دیپلماتیک مداخله کند.

ما خواستار تحقیق مستقل بین‌المللی، پاسخگویی مقامات مسئول، حمایت از شهروندان ایران و فشار هماهنگ جهانی برای توقف سرکوب هستیم
