A HUGE win for women’s longboarding!

For the 2026–2027 season, NSSA has officially changed its rulebook and created a dedicated Women’s Longboarding Division!

That means NO MORE COED LONGBOARDING — women will now have their own division and their own platform to compete.

According to NSSA Executive Director:

“Women’s Longboard has been implemented into Team Surfing formats in College and High School Varsity. It will be a female-only division. Coed longboarding has been dropped and not offered.”

This is HUGE for our girls and for the future of women’s longboarding.

For years, talented female longboarders have had to compete for limited spots in coed divisions. Now, they will have a dedicated space to compete, grow, and represent their schools.

More girls competing. More opportunities. More visibility. More growth.

This is what progress looks like. ❤️

Congratulations to all of our Lady Longboarders! And a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped spread the word, supported the cause, and made the petition a success!

Now it’s time for our girls to show up!

We need women longboarders to come out, join their teams, and compete in this new division. The success and continued growth of Women’s Longboarding will depend on participation, so let’s show NSSA just how much this division is needed.

The opportunity is here. Now let’s fill the lineup!
