This petition continues to gain exponential traction with over 1100 new signatures recorded in the last two days alone! Thank you to everyone who has signed so far but like the Tillies, we’ve still got far to go #tilitsdone.

So a reminder of what we’re fighting for:

  1. Round 2 of the Olympic Prequalifiers are set to be held at HBF Park in October, a stadium that holds only 22,000 people with almost all released seats sold out.
  2. Optus Stadium can host 60,000, 3x the capacity of HBF which would accommodate tens of thousands of Perth fans who already missed out on seeing the Matildas play during the World Cup.
  3. The move to Optus has already garnered support from the Mayor of City of Perth Basil Zempilas, former Socceroo Robbie Slater, and even the CEO of Football Australia James Johnson agrees if the demand is there they are open to moving the games.

So what next? It’s simple - please send this petition to as many of your friends and family in Perth as possible to encourage them to sign. The more signatures the stronger the argument the WA Government can’t ignore to move the games.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported so far - go Matildas!!!
