The Guardian also highlighted that more than seven thousand people have already signed this petition and that ninety-six percent of Central Exuma residents surveyed see protecting the environment as a top priority. The community has been clear about what matters.

Now is the time to build on this momentum. The revised plan must directly address the concerns that brought us here in the first place. Bahamians and those who understand our islands and depend on these waters understand what’s at risk and are united in calling for better choices.
