Now, the fans who grew up with these movies are adults. Many of us are parents ourselves, and we've come to understand Goofy in ways we never could as children. As Disney continues to revisit beloved classics, one of its most heartfelt stories has been left unfinished. Goofy, meanwhile, has become the grandfather everyone wishes they had. He approaches grandparenthood with the same optimism, goofy charm, and endless love that made him such an unforgettable dad. His unconventional advice and hilarious mishaps create laugh-out-loud moments, but beneath the comedy is a heartfelt reminder that family is built on patience, forgiveness, and unconditional love.

Fans have also hoped for the return of Roxanne, one of Disney's most beloved yet underused characters. Of course, no Goofy adventure would be complete without music.

A reunion tour featuring Powerline would be the perfect reason for one more family road trip. His return would honor one of Disney's most iconic fictional musicians while introducing him to a new generation with unforgettable songs and performances that capture the spirit of the original film.

A third film could explore themes that resonate with audiences of every generation:

The realities of adulthood and raising a family.
Balancing technology with genuine human connection.
Mental health, communication, and understanding one another.
The timeless importance of family, no matter how much the world changes.

My belief in this story was reinforced when I attended D23 in 2024. During the event, I had the privilege of hearing Bill Farmer, the legendary voice of Goofy for nearly four decades, speak about the character and his legacy. Bill shared that he would love the opportunity to make a third Goofy Movie. Hearing the person who has given Goofy his heart and personality for generations express that enthusiasm was inspiring. It proved that the passion for these characters doesn't exist only among fans—it also lives with the people who helped make them iconic.

Disney has the creative talent and storytelling ability to make this film a reality. A Goofy Movie 3 wouldn't simply revisit the past; it would honor one of Disney's greatest father-son stories while introducing Goofy, Max, Roxanne, and Powerline to a new generation.

We aren't asking for a remake.

We aren't asking for a reboot.

We're asking for the next chapter.
