The Issue

My family and I are once again asking for your help in denying parole to William Mack Carroll for the first degree murder of Helen “Jeanette” Jackson (Carroll) His parole hearing is January 14th, 2026.
William Mack Carroll - my dad planned and murdered my mom-“Jeanette” in the evening of 9/9/04 while my sister and I watched. We were both 15 at the time. Our other sister, who was not at the home, was 19. After all these years later it is unexplainable to describe the fear in that moment of watching him so easily, with no words spoken, and  without any emotion raise a gun and shoot her in the head, as we watched on in horror. ( He later after we left shot her again but with another gun- no reason as to why as the first shot killed her) Flight or fight is very real and some part of our minds decided to flee, we had to go out a bedroom window as that was our only exit as to go to a door would have meant going towards him. My dad was very controlling and we all lived in fear of him. Just moments prior to this event, I had the strong urge to not be where I was in the living room. I can only say God looking back. But as I left the living room to move to another side, I paused in front of my mom as she was sewing and said the last words she would ever hear  “We shouldn’t have to live like this”. She didn’t look up and she didn’t  say anything. She just took a deep breath and let it out….moments later she was gone. I don’t want to go back to living in fear. Do I forgive him, yes. God has shown me I have and I have no doubt. I, however, think he needs to pay for his crime by being locked up for his life. I need to feel safe as do my family and the community. If you feel lead to help you can do by many ways listed below:
