The Issue

Help Bring a Pump Track to Galveston!

We, as Galveston residents and community members, are asking the City of Galveston to consider adding a pump track as part of future improvements to Menard Park and the Johnny Romano Skate Park area.

A pump track would create a fun, active outdoor space that can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels, giving local families and young people another great way to get outside and be active. It would complement the existing skate park while adding something new to Galveston’s recreational options, with the potential to attract visitors, competitions and community events.

We are asking the City of Galveston to move this idea forward by evaluating a pump track for inclusion in future Parks & Recreation capital improvements, identifying potential funding and grant opportunities and working with the community to determine the best path toward making it a reality.

We’d also love to see future improvements include more shade, seating, water access and other amenities that would make the park better for everyone.

If you’d like to see this happen in Galveston, sign the petition and help us show the City there’s community support behind it!
