I just wanted to say a huge thank you to every single one of you.
We’ve now passed 500 supporters, and the growth over the last few days has been noticeably faster. That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s because people are sharing this petition, talking about it, and recognising the same problems they’ve experienced themselves.
This isn’t just a local issue. The recent BBC Panorama investigation into Evri clearly showed that what many of us have been dealing with is a nationwide, systemic problem in the way Evri operates. Missing parcels, false delivery scans, pressure on drivers, and a complete lack of accountability were all laid bare. What many of us have been saying for years is now on national television.
I am also currently in contact with Helen Barker, Head of Public Affairs at Evri, who denies the accusations raised both by customers and by Panorama. Some of the statements made simply do not align with what I and many others see day in, day out. I don’t believe this is necessarily malicious, but it does highlight a real disconnect. Senior leadership cannot realistically know the working conditions and practices inside every single depot. Those of us on the ground see the reality every day.
What’s important is this. Speaking up does work.
At my local depot, things have already started to change. Couriers have stopped dumping parcels all over the floor, and a parking warden has now been employed to turn drivers away if they arrive too early, reducing congestion and chaos. These may sound like small steps, but they are real improvements that only happen when attention is applied.
That’s why it’s so important we keep this momentum going.
If you haven’t already, please take a moment to share the petition with friends, family, work colleagues, or local community groups. Most people affected by Evri will instantly recognise the problem. They just need to see this petition to add their voice.
Thank you again for your support. Let’s keep pushing to make sure these improvements don’t stop and that Evri is properly held to account.
Together, this is already making a difference.
