It appears as though Brown county decided to impose the shotgun only restrictions  for the 2026 hunting season. While many counties in southern MN appear to be going with the state and allowing rifles, following the statistics and data, we were not so lucky this time around in Brown county! 

I will keep the petition up and going and possibly next year we can rally enough support to change it for the 2027 hunting season. I would suggest anyone that has already signed it to keep up the good fight and share the petition with anyone that would like to have this antiquated law overturned.
