For as long as I can remember, people have been walking/biking along highways and main roads in my area, which isn't always the safest. We live in an area with many schools, mixed with residential and commercial buildings. None of which are easily accessible on foot. The fumes that cars and motorcycles emit are very harmful to the environment, and they aren't very sustainable. If people had safe ways to travel to places without being at risk of injury, more people could save the environment and stay healthy. That's why I'm proposing the idea that we have crosswalks and bike paths installed. It isn't much but it'll help out. Any and every vote will help us to contact the local government and maybe get them installed.
