I want to Demand a Traffic Light at Highway 25 and Highway 65 Before More Lives Are Lost
The intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 65 has become a dangerous and deadly crossing for drivers in our community. There have been far too many serious wrecks and fatalities at this intersection, yet nothing significant has been done to improve safety.
Now my own family has experienced this tragedy firsthand.
My mother was recently involved in a devastating accident at this intersection. Her injuries were severe: broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a damaged kidney, and multiple traumatic injuries that required four surgeries in just four days. Our family has been living through fear, stress, and heartbreak while she fights to recover.
No family should have to suffer like this because a known dangerous intersection remains unsafe.
We are calling on the Arkansas Department of Transportation and local officials to take immediate action by installing a traffic light at Highway 25 and Highway 65 before more innocent people are injured or killed.
A traffic signal could:
Reduce deadly high-speed collisions
Improve visibility and traffic control
Give drivers a safer opportunity to cross and turn
Save lives in our community
Too many warnings have already come in the form of wrecks, injuries, and deaths. We cannot wait for another tragedy before action is taken.
