The Issue
When I was 15, I was sexually assaulted by a family member. Despite my efforts to seek justice, I was failed by my local law enforcement who did not hold my abuser accountable. It is a harrowing experience that has left deep scars, and now I find myself witnessing another situation where justice seems to be slipping through the cracks.
Uriah Michael Moore is a creator on TikTok who goes by the username of @illogical.debates or @goyscoutcookies who has repulsed, sickened and alarmed many women and children for his predatory actions against these demographics. He is reported to have sexually and physically abused his two ex-wives, an ex-girlfriend, and his two underage biological sons Uriah Jr. and Uziah. Yet, despite such grievous accusations, there seems to be a reluctance by the Springfield Police Department to investigate this serial sexual assaulter/pedophile with the urgency the situation demands. He has also used numerous slurs against individuals of protected class status, such as slurs against African American, Disabled, Asian, Hispanic, and Trans identifying individuals. TikTok has the power and responsibility to create a safe and trustworthy environment for its users. Allowing someone like Moore to continue using the platform endangers its community, especially its most vulnerable members. TikTok's community guidelines explicitly prohibit such behavior, and this is a test of their commitment to enforce these rules.
We are urging TikTok to act swiftly and decisively by banning Uriah Michael Moore from the platform. Not only should his account be removed, but ongoing monitoring and immediate action should be taken to prevent his return under different aliases.
