PETITION FOR THE PROTECTION AND WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN

📍 Buffalo

Addressed to: Erie County Department of Social Services

We, the concerned members of the Buffalo community, are speaking out with heavy hearts and deep concern for the children of Tamia Bolton.

For nearly four months, her six children have been removed from her care. Since then, she has also given birth to a newborn baby girl who has now been taken as well. This ongoing situation has shaken many in the community and raised serious questions about what these children have been experiencing.

We are not speaking out to tear anyone down — we are speaking because innocent children deserve stability, safety, and a real chance at a healthy life.

Many in the community believe that Ms. Bolton is not in a stable position mentally or emotionally to properly care for her children at this time. There are ongoing concerns about her lifestyle, including frequent partying, substance use, and behavior that does not reflect a safe or consistent home environment for multiple young children.

It is especially troubling to see repeated public statements about needing housing and support, while at the same time there appears to be little visible effort toward creating a stable foundation for her children to return to. These children need structure, protection, and a parent who is fully present — not inconsistency and uncertainty.

This is not about judgment. This is about the reality that children cannot advocate for themselves — so we must.

We, the people of Buffalo, are asking the Erie County Department of Social Services to continue prioritizing the safety, stability, and long-term well-being of these children above all else. We urge that any decisions regarding custody be made with careful consideration of whether a safe, secure, and nurturing environment truly exists.

At this time, many in the community strongly feel that these children are safer where they are, rather than being returned to an environment that may not meet their basic emotional and physical needs.

These children deserve peace.

They deserve stability.

They deserve a real chance.

We stand together for them.
