Thank you so much for your continued support of our work as the Better Governance Initiative NPC. 

As you may have noticed from my updates, we recently sent a follow-up submission in the Review of the White Paper on Local Government.  I thought it important to share our submission with you.  The long and the short of it is two-fold; 

1. Residents are cautiously optimistic that government can fix our municipalities and have concrete ideas of what needs changing.
2. Having ensured that government adopted 5 of the 14 recommendation themes from last year’s submission, residents have made substantive motivations for the remaining 9 issues, and refined the initial 5.
