We, the undersigned students, would like to respectfully request the restoration of the 24/7 study room facility, which was recently discontinued due to incidents involving a few students misusing the facility by playing games and disturbing the intended study environment.

We fully understand and acknowledge the need to maintain discipline and ensure that the study room remains a quiet and productive space for all students. However, the actions of a limited number of students have resulted in a restriction that affects the entire student community, including those who responsibly use the study room for academic purposes, particularly during late-night hours.

The 24/7 availability of the study room is especially valuable for students who have different study schedules, have academic work or examinations approaching, or require a quiet environment outside regular hours. Removing the facility altogether significantly affects these students.

We therefore respectfully request the administration to reconsider the decision and restore the 24/7 study room facility. At the same time, we request that appropriate disciplinary action be taken against the individual students responsible for violating the rules, rather than imposing a collective restriction on all students.

We would also be willing to comply with stricter monitoring measures, such as CCTV surveillance, entry/exit registers, or clearly communicated rules regarding acceptable conduct in the study room. This would help ensure that the facility remains available while preventing similar incidents in the future.

We sincerely request the administration to consider the interests of the wider student community and restore the 24/7 study room facility while holding the individuals responsible for the disruption accountable.
