Per Input220: BHS lacks Quality Instructional Time

Barrington United for Education, Community Members Dedicated to Promoting and Sustaining Quality in District 220 Schools

Did anyone else catch Input220's Spokesperson Jennifer Smith's comment in the CBS news broadcast and article from the 10:00 p.m. news 2/11/16:
"Some parents think the later start is a bad idea...That would result in cutting curriculum time and also cutting down of class choices. Transportation and extracurricular activity time are other concerns. Smith says the focus should be on quality of instruction-time not quantity."
When did BHS, a top nationally ranked school, start having non-quality instruction time ? What classes and teachers are not quality instruction providers? Why hasn't the administration done something about the lack of quality before now?
Do you think Input220s proposal cutting academic instruction will increase our academic success? If your answer is "no" or "not sure" to this last question, you need to sign the petition, get others to sign the petition, contact The Board of Education with your concerns, and show up at the BOE meetings. Step Up Bronco Community.
