🐔🐈🐕Petition Message to End Animal Sacrifice in the Name of Religion

The Issue

To the Respected Authorities, Temple Committees, and Devotees,

I humbly request your kind attention to an important matter of compassion and true spirituality.

Across many parts of India, rituals involving animal sacrifice are still being carried out in the name of religion.

🐾 Why We Should Not Sacrifice or Kill Animal---

✨ Because They Have Souls Too ✨

Animals are not objects. They are living beings with feelings, fear, love, and pain—just like us. They may not speak our language, but they feel everything.

🌿 1. Animals Have Souls

According to Sanatan Dharma and many Hindu scriptures, all living beings—including animals—have Atman (soul).

The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 5, Verse 18) says:

> “The humble sage sees with equal vision a brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater.”

This means: a wise person sees the same divine spark in all beings—human or animal.

💔 2. They Feel Pain Just Like Us

When an animal is killed or sacrificed, it cries, trembles, and feels terror—just as a human would.

What if someone held you or your child and offered them to God? Would it feel right?

Then how can it be right for a helpless animal?

🌍 3. Killing for Taste or Ritual Is Not Justified

Many people eat animals for taste, not need.

We have so many plant-based foods available. No one needs to die for our tongue's pleasure.

Similarly, killing an animal in the name of a ritual doesn’t make it sacred—it makes it cruel.

🕊️ 4. True Religion Is Compassion

No true God, no divine being, no enlightened master has ever said:

"Kill My Creation to Please Me."

They say:> "Love all beings. Serve the poor. Protect the weak."

Animal sacrifice is the opposite of divine worship.

🙏 5. As Humans, We Must Be Their Voice

Humans are given intelligence and conscience—not to exploit, but to protect.

If animals had a voice, they would beg:  “I want to live too.”

So let’s be that voice. Let’s stand up for the voiceless.

✋ Say No to Sacrifice. Say Yes to Compassion.

Let’s create a world where no being suffers in the name of God.

📜 Scriptural Truth:

1. Bhagavad Gita – Chapter 9, Verse 26:

> "If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it." This divine verse makes it clear: God accepts offerings of love, not violence.

2. Principle of Ahimsa (Non-violence): Ahimsa is the foundation of Dharma. Killing innocent animals for any ritual goes against the very soul of our faith.

3. Saints and Reformers like Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, and Sant Kabir have all condemned animal sacrifice and emphasized that true worship is through compassion, love, and service to others.

4. The Upanishads, the Ramcharitmanas, and many Puranas ultimately stress inner purity, not outer rituals involving bloodshed.

🙏 My Request:

I urge you to stop animal sacrifices in temples, villages, and fairs. Let us instead promote:

Offerings of fruits, flowers, and prayers,

Feeding the poor and animals,

Acts of seva (service) and kindness.

Let our temples be places of peace, not pain..

Sincerely,
