Tom and Kitty Stuart Park has been a cherished public space for generations of residents and visitors in Madeira Beach. However, recent actions by the Madeira Beach City Commission have put the future of this beloved park in jeopardy. By removing the park's historic layout, mature canopy, and beach access to prioritize asphalt for many vehicles, the city commission is in direct violation of the deed's "Reverter Clause," which stipulates that the land must legally revert to the Stuart heirs should its primary park purpose be abandoned.

The ongoing privatization and commercial exploitation of Tom and Kitty Stuart Park represent unethical and morally bankrupt actions. The continued use of public trust land for private commercial gain cannot be accepted and stands as a flagrant and, quite honestly, unlawful breach of the city's commitment to its residents.

The Madeira Beach community deserves to have its voice heard. The alterations being made to the park not only disturb the environmental balance but also detract from the natural beauty and historical roots that have long been a part of this area.

The Madeira Beach City Commission must immediately cease these unauthorized actions!
We demand the restoration of the park's original boundaries and recreational features. By doing so, they will honor the wishes outlined in the land's deed and preserve the park for present and future generations.

This petition calls upon those who love and cherish Tom and Kitty Stuart Park to stand united against this commercial takeover. With enough support, we can restore the park to its rightful state and ensure it continues to serve as a public treasure.

Join us in demanding the preservation of Tom and Kitty Stuart Park’s natural integrity and historical significance. Sign this petition to stop the privatization and ensure the park remains a community space for all to enjoy.
