Petition for Transparency and Accountability from APX Security Services
The Issue
We, the learners currently placed with APX Security Services under the UIF‑funded learnership, speak collectively to express our growing concern and frustration.
As a group, we entered this programme with the expectation of gaining valuable experience and skills. However, the lack of clear communication from APX Security Services regarding our placements, training schedules, and stipend payments has left us uncertain and unsupported. Repeated attempts to obtain information have been met with silence, leaving us without the guidance we were promised.
This situation affects not only our morale but also our ability to plan our careers and financial futures. We therefore demand that APX Security Services, in cooperation with the Department of Labour (UIF), take immediate action to rectify the miscommunication and provide the following:
1. A comprehensive written statement detailing the status of all current placements and any training programmes, both ongoing and upcoming.
2. Timely updates on stipend payments, including when and how they will be disbursed.
3. A direct communication channel for learners to raise concerns and receive prompt feedback.
Transparency and effective communication are fundamental rights in any professional environment. By failing to uphold these standards, APX Security Services jeopardises its reputation and the wellbeing of its learners.
We call on APX Security Services to engage with us openly and honestly, ensuring that every learner understands their standing and receives the support promised.
