Petition for the Implementation of Wash Day at Parañaque National High School-Baclaran
The Issue
Advocating for the Implementation of Wash Day: Allowing Students at Parañaque National High School-Baclaran to Attend School Without Wearing Uniforms Once A Week
There are numerous reasons why children may be unable to wear their uniforms to school. Some of the reasons are financial issues; the student's family may not be able to afford a lot of uniforms. It could also be laundry issues; the students may only have two pairs of uniforms, and it would be hard to wash them every day because there are a lot of things to do other than wash clothes. Weather conditions are one of the reasons too, because the uniform won't easily dry when it is raining hard. Therefore, implementing a Wash Day once a week at Parañaque National High School-Baclaran would help address these issues and ensure that all students have clean and presentable uniforms.
Implementing a Wash Day once a week where students can go to school without wearing uniforms can have several advantages. Families may experience a reduced financial burden as they won't need to invest in multiple uniforms. Implementation of wash day once a week can also reduce instances of unpleasant body odors among students.
We considered potential drawbacks for implementing wash day in our school, such as issues related to inappropriate clothing choices. There should be guidelines that require students to wear clothes that are knee-length and avoid sleeveless attire, which can help address concerns related to inappropriate clothing choices. This approach aims to maintain a modest and respectful dress code.
