GFRSC Parents Deserve a Voice — Demand Transparency Now

Fellow GFRSC Parents,

We are calling on all members of Great Falls Reston Soccer Club to support the member-requested Special Meeting — not just the Board-controlled annual meeting.

Here’s why this matters:

• The Board has scheduled a closed-door vote to fill the vacant board seat without member input, further eroding transparency.
• The Annual Meeting will be tightly controlled: limiting questions, scripted presentations, and no real dialogue.
• A Special Meeting called by the members gives us — the families and stakeholders of this Club — the power to set the agenda, ask the questions that matter, and demand answers.

This is our club.  We fund it.  We entrust our kids to it.  We deserve a voice in its leadership and direction.

PETITION FOR SIGNATURE BELOW

Pursuant to Section 3.10 of the Amended and Restated Bylaws of Great Falls–Reston Soccer Club (GFRSC), which requires a written petition of at least one third (1/3) of GFRSC Members, we, the undersigned voting members, hereby petition to call a Special Meeting of the Membership.

Purpose of Special Meeting:

• To review the current composition and actions of the Board of Directors;
• To address concerns regarding governance, conflicts of interest, and fiduciary oversight;
• To discuss the future leadership and organizational direction of GFRSC;
• To consider measures to protect the Club’s nonprofit mission and long-term integrity;
• To recommend Board reconstitution if deemed necessary by the Membership.

Requested Timing:
The Special Meeting should be scheduled within thirty (30) days of the Club’s receipt of this petition, in accordance with the Club’s Bylaws.
