On the eve of Veterans Day, more than 100 Logansport residents have now signed the petition demanding the Mayor Chris Martin resign. Veterans Day and Memorial Day represent local ceremonies in Logansport that the mayor has chosen not to attend, unliker his predecessors.

Additonally, a column by Ball State economist Michael Hicks that appeared in the Pharos-Tribune and other Indiana newspapers this week has factual information about immigration and what is not happening here. Much like Gov. Eric Holcomb, he has chosen to say that we're not in a crisis caused by Haitian immigrants. We're a community that has embraced legal immigration and immigration has been a significant part of our community since the former Wilson Foods plant was sold 30 years ago.

There are many other reasons why we're asking people to sign, but the most important in the next 24 hours is the support for our veterans -- thousands of whom have served from Logansport and are buried at Mount Hope Cemetery. Please take a moment to add your support. Thank you.
