Hi All,
Please refer reply email i have just received from the the Melbourne City Council in response to earlier email. You will notice that they have again rejected my request and provided no new reasons, other then that they oppose and citing earlier reasons, which i have responded to.
I will carefully consider my response before going back to them and also explore alternative actions.
We march on.
Cheers.

Dear Sam,
Thank you for your further response and for the comprehensive way you have outlined your position.
We have carefully considered the additional information you have provided. While we acknowledge the points raised, Council’s position remains unchanged for the reasons set out in our earlier correspondence.
At this stage, we are not going to progress the request. This decision is not intended to diminish the strength of the local community identity associated with the area, nor does it prevent Council from considering any future request should relevant policy, statutory or strategic circumstances materially change.
Council appreciates the constructive and respectful manner in which you have engaged with us on this matter.
Kind regards,
