We, the undersigned members of the Baltimore community and those who support justice for victims, are heartbroken by the tragic death of three-year-old Jordan Bright.

No family should ever have to experience the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Jordan's life mattered, and her memory deserves to be honored with a thorough and fair pursuit of justice.

According to publicly reported information, Jordan was fatally struck in an incident involving a stolen vehicle allegedly driven by a fourteen-year-old. We recognize that every person accused of a crime is entitled to due process and that the courts must determine the facts based on the evidence presented.

At the same time, we respectfully ask the Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City to carefully consider the seriousness of the alleged conduct and to pursue this case to the fullest extent permitted under Maryland law if the evidence supports doing so.

Our request is not based on anger or a desire for vengeance. Rather, it is grounded in our belief that accountability is essential to honoring Jordan's life, supporting her grieving family, promoting public safety, and reinforcing that actions with devastating consequences must be met with appropriate legal responsibility.

We also call on our community to continue supporting Jordan's family with compassion, prayer, and respect as they navigate an unimaginable loss.
