PETITION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ALL DETENTION FACILITY CONDITIONS!

PETITION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ALL DETENTION FACILITY CONDITIONS!
The Issue
In recent news, we have seen families being separated, who have no criminal record. They are women, minors, pregnant women, and asylum seekers who are here for a better life. This is inhumane to have families and individuals incarcerated in unsafe conditions. We ask for your help with this petition for change the conditions in our detention centers. Immigrants deserve dignity and respect. We must advocate for safer conditions for ALL families and individuals in the detention centers. There has been a recent increase of death of individuals in ICE Custody. In 2025, there were 33 reports deaths. Compared to previous years, in 2024 there were 11 deaths at these facilities. As of March 18, 2026, there has been a total of 46 deaths. This is the highest number of deaths in over two decades. There has been an increase of detentions since the President Trump administration implemented the policy changes. There has been an increase of detainees by 70%. In 2024, President Biden held 39,000 immigrants in detention, by February of 2026 there is now about 68,000 immigrants held in detention. The increase in number of detainees causes health risks and overcrowding. This can potentially cause communicable diseases that ICE is not maintaining. We are asking that you sign this petition to help bring awareness to the grotesque conditions at these detention facilities. We must change these conditions for our people! We demand a change in how funding from the, One Big Beautiful Bill Act is used. Rather than misusing these funds, the money should be redirected to ensure more humane conditions or to improve the system processing times. Reducing the duration individuals spend in detention and improving the facilities would ensure a much more dignified and humane stay.
