We, the undersigned, are requesting the installation of perimeter fencing around the 9v9 soccer field at Stephen Nowak Memorial Fields to improve safety, reduce disruptions during games and practices, and create a better overall experience for players, coaches, referees, and families.

Currently, balls frequently leave the field and travel into nearby areas, including parking lots, walking paths, down hills, and into spectator spaces. This creates several ongoing concerns:

• Safety risks for players who chase balls into the parking lot or crowded areas
• Interruptions to games and practices
• Difficulty maintaining game flow during competitive play when time is spent chasing balls down the hill or around parked cars

We understand that permanent fencing may require budgeting and long-term planning. However, even temporary construction-style fencing installed during soccer season would significantly improve safety and help contain play within the field area. A seasonal solution could provide an immediate improvement while allowing time to evaluate permanent options in the future.

Stephen Nowak Memorial Fields is a valued community space that serves countless local families throughout the soccer season. Adding fencing to the 9v9 field would be a meaningful improvement that supports both safety and the continued growth of youth sports in our community.
