PETITION for Clear Lake Park!

The Issue

Attention Community of Clear Lake Park:

Many of us, in the community, have lived near or visited Clear Lake Park, it is our community’s little “hidden treasure”.   The community has felt safe and comfortable taking evening strolls through the park; however, today everyone is met with unprovoked hostility by a new ‘volunteer”.  This volunteer accosts and verbally assaults anyone who dares to cross into the park; accusing all that they are trespassing and committing a felony by walking into the park “with or without” a park pass.

Since February 2024, the following activities have been observed by members of our community:

·        Drug Overdose

·        Homeless encampment

·        Children harassed by homeless residence

·        Drug arrests

·        Car racing

·        Stolen electricity from neighboring community

·        Attempted murder

·        Park volunteer hosting private parties at the lake while the park is closed to the public

·        Park volunteer giving access to friends/family to closed areas of the park that are deemed dangerous to the public

·        Various noise complaints

·        Increased traffic at all hours of the day and night into the volunteer’s site

·        Park volunteer harassing and accosting the public

·        Park volunteer posting intimidating photos that include weapons on government property

Please take a moment to review the following sites that will give insight into the different scenarios and types of assault our community had to endure since this new volunteer has been place:

Various complaints have been made to the head Rangers at the Army Corp of Engineers, to the point that they are receiving daily complaints, and their voicemail box is completely full; however, as of today there has been no resolution and our community safety is still at risk.

ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Please sign this petition to help us get our voices heard! We don’t want much, we just want to have the volunteer removed from her position and access back to the community so we can once again enjoy our beautiful community park.
