For more than 15 years, I'd been a loyal customer at Captain D's, my loyalty primarily driven by their delicious chicken tenders. Recently, they changed their recipe and honestly, I'm not only disappointed but pained by this unexpected change. Many loyal customers, myself included, have found the new chicken tenders distasteful and less appealing compared to the original recipe. It lacks the mouthwatering taste and texture of the previous version that attracted many of us to Captain D's.

The change not only affected our enjoyable dining experiences but also created a sense of disillusionment among longstanding customers as it seemed they were sacrificing quality for other unknown reasons. It's a major switch up from the Captain D's we knew and loved, akin to serving us their fish instead of the sweetly familiar chicken tenders.

Chicken tenders are a classic American dish enjoyed by many. According to the National Chicken Council, over 1.3 billion chicken tenders were consumed in 2019 in the US alone. This statistic shows the immense love people hold for this dish, and any significant changes to its taste and texture can notably impact clientele preferences.

I urge Captain D's to recognize the discomfort this change has caused for its loyal customers and to reinstate the original chicken tenders recipe. For the customers who've stood by them over the years, for the love of the original chicken tenders, and for the preservation of cherished eating experiences at Captain D's.
