Professor [Redacted] has consistently demonstrated unprofessional behavior toward students at the College of Marin. Many students have reported feeling uncomfortable, upset, and misled after attending his classes. His actions have not only discouraged students from achieving a successful educational journey but have also created a negative learning environment that hinders academic growth and personal well-being.

Numerous students have shared incidents in which Professor [Redacted] conduct during lectures or interactions felt dismissive, disrespectful, or inappropriate. A college classroom should be a space that fosters respect, support, and intellectual growth, and many students feel that this standard has not been met in his classroom.

These concerns have become even more pressing with the knowledge that Professor [Redacted] may be granted tenure in the upcoming spring term. Tenure would secure his position, making it more challenging to address ongoing issues and hold him accountable moving forward. As students, we feel a sense of urgency to alert the administration to these persistent issues before such a decision is finalized.

It is crucial that the administration takes a closer look at the impact of Professor [Redacted] behavior and considers the voices of students who feel disadvantaged or marginalized by his presence in the classroom. The focus of any educational institution should be on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes academic success and emotional well-being for all students.

We are calling on the College of Marin administration to thoroughly review the documented impact of Professor [Redacted] behavior and to take appropriate action based on student experiences. An institution of higher education has a responsibility to prioritize student safety, dignity, and well-being, and to ensure that faculty conduct aligns with those values. College of Marin has publicly affirmed its commitment to student success, educational equity, and fostering a respectful, supportive campus environment. This petition asks the administration to uphold those stated values by closely examining the impact of Professor [Redacted] conduct on students.
