I am directly impacted. I was the unnamed victim of a case and this biased “news outlet” in Chicago took the story and spun it to demonize not just me but everyone included in it. I absolutely do not condone the actions or agenda this blog is trying to promote—I didn’t find out it was published until months after the case in June. 

My career, education, and safety are all at stake. If nothing changes, my dream of becoming a member of the U.S Embassy & Consulate could potentially be pushed back and/or compromised. Although I am unnamed in the article, I was never once asked by the Cook County Circuit Court system, CPD, or CWBChicago for my consent before or after “publication” and there is little to no information on the CWBChicago website about the offices’ existence.

I am a first generation student and the daughter of immigrants. I intend to use my story to uplift other women, girls, and students to speak up about being sexually abused—I was extremely hesitant to tell the police what had happened to me out of fear. The trial has occurred a year and a month ago, and is over for now. Still, I am left with no knowledge by any of the people or detectives that apparently gave information to this blog without anyone’s consent. The unnamed writer of this post has not taken it down even after I reached out to them in June 2021 asking to politely take it down when I first saw it. 

My agenda and morals do not align with this publication about this case whatsoever, since I was the victim of the case, I should’ve been the first to know when and where it was published.
