Petition and Declaration of the People to Donald J Trump
Petition and Declaration of the People to Donald J Trump
The Issue
Petition and Declaration of the People
We the People of the several States united, do hereby affix our names to this pledge as a clear expression of our will and authority. We affirm that all just powers of the Office of the President and of the Federal Government are derived solely from the consent of the governed, and exist only through the continued agreement of We the People.
In recent weeks, it has become evident that the President is no longer acting in faithful representation of the People. By his own actions and liabilities, he has chosen to engage in acts of war for the benefit of a foreign state, namely Israel, in direct conflict with the interests, safety, and welfare of the People of these united States—thereby violating the oath sworn to preserve, protect, and defend.
Therefore, we issue this open and direct notice: we withdraw our consent and confidence, and we call for the immediate relinquishment of authority vested in the Office of the President and Commander in Chief. We assert that such actions constitute a breach of trust of the highest order, and stand in opposition to the sovereign will of the People.
Furthermore, by the same authority from which all governance is derived, we declare our unequivocal and unwavering opposition to the use of nuclear arms by any branch of the armed forces of this nation. No representative, officer, or agent acting in the name of these United States shall deploy nuclear weapons—whether in war, peace, or retaliation—against Iran or any other State.
This declaration stands as a reaffirmation that ultimate authority resides with We the People, and that no office, however high, stands above that authority.
Signed,
We the People of the several States united,
for whom the United States has functioned as a de facto government since 1933.
