I, the undersigned, strongly condemn the actions of Bushra Bibi (wife of Imran Khan) and Ali Amin Gandapur (Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) for their irresponsible leadership during the protest on November 26, 2024, demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned under politically motivated charges.

On the evening of November 26, in Islamabad at D-Chowk, thousands of dedicated PTI workers, led by Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur, faced torture and the use of tear gas. Despite the intense situation, they managed to reach D-Chowk. However, as the lights went out and there were signs of an impending operation against the workers, both leaders failed to provide any guidance or communication about the looming threats.

In a disgraceful display of leadership, Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur abandoned their workers, fleeing to Mansehra, 155 kilometers away from Islamabad, without warning or ensuring the safety of those who had followed them into the capital to protest. Their actions left many political workers vulnerable, putting their lives at risk, and undermining the values of true leadership.

I call for accountability and demand that Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur be held responsible for their lack of care, communication, and abandonment of their own party workers. Such behavior is not representative of true leadership, and those in positions of power should act with responsibility, empathy, and commitment to those who place their trust in them.

We demand:

• A full investigation into the events of November 26, 2024.
• An accountability from Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur for abandoning their workers in such a dangerous situation.
• A commitment from PTI leadership to uphold the values of responsible leadership and ensure the safety and well-being of political workers.
