Petition against Discrimination on a nation-wide scale, at every level of our society.
Petition against Discrimination on a nation-wide scale, at every level of our society.
The Issue
I was unsure as to under what category this petition should this one come under.
The State of India is against discrimination.
But is Reservation an exception to this case? Where the whole of India is discriminating against the General category?
Reservation in JEE? NEET? CUET? Every Entrance exam?
Is reserving seats for candidates who score lower than others, not the irony in a Merit-based Entrance exam?
What are we expected to do for the country when the government just promotes discrimination? INDIA HAS NO FUTURE, AND THE GOVERNMENT IS KILLING DESERVING YOUTH.
This year, who was the minority? In the general category, who receives reservations? THE OBC/SC/ST. Today, lower castes are no longer impoverished, and higher castes are no longer rich, but reservation is destroying an already failing educational system.
And even if, they were, are we not giving freebies? Instead of teaching them how to do something, and providing affordable and quality education, we are just circumventing them out of the process.
Don't you suppose a general-category student who got into college after years of hard work would not dislike a reserved-category student who got into the same college with little effort? And we cannot blame that hostility. Reservation only spreads enmity.
This petition is my hopeful cry for help, with the idea that where all of the political parties i.e. the legislature are in support of reservation for their Vote banks. Where the Judiciary itself remains pro-reservation, an idea intended to be scrapped after the first few years of independence,
We, the people of India, can amend this disharmonious idea. We the people of our country amend what our representatives could not, we the people of India repel what our Judiciary could not.

Article 15, clause (1) prevents the state from discriminating against any person based on religion, race, caste, gender, place of birth, or any combination of these.
but clause (5), states Nothing in this article or in sub-clause (g) of clause (1) of article 19 shall prevent the State from making any special provision, by law, for the advancement of any socially and educationally backward classes of citizens or for the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes in so far as such special provisions relate to their admission to educational institutions including private educational institutions, whether aided or unaided by the State, other than the minority educational institutions referred to in clause (1) of article 30.
We agree on the sentiment of providing aid to the underprivileged in society, but are freebies helping or hampering the Indian education and employment system?
Should the training to fight on equal terms or providing a gun to one side in the boxing match be considered Equality? Equity? or whatever terms are used to justify this discrimination?
I rest my case by saying that the only thing propagating the hate and ostracization in society against other members of it is Reservation.
