Equal Rights for All Teachers

Equal Rights for All Teachers
The Issue
Experienced qualified teachers are to be denied the opportunity to apply for permanent jobs. New measures to be rolled out on the end of March this year will allow teachers aged 55+ to retire was announced by Peter Weir. While this sounds good his criteria for filling the permanent jobs requires schools to replace the member of staff with a newly qualified teacher, or one who has graduated within from 2012 to 2016 inclusive. This sees experienced, dedicated teachers who have not had job security, a sense of self worth or steady income denied the chance to even apply. This is where we need your help. We want Mr Weir to see that we live in a fair society where equality of opportunity is granted to all teachers! We're not looking for preferential treatment just the opportunity to use our experiences to help support and benefit your children in our shared future.
