A few days ago we found out that, Puppy Cuddles dog cafe located in Mumbai have been torturing the animals kept there. 

1. The dogs stayed in the cuddle zone for 9 hours plus without breaks. (We requested a little breather time for the dogs and convinced the owners for the same on the pretext of dogs being more active. They agreed for the sake of their business.)

2. The dogs are kept in cages for more than 11 hours a day. (evidence of big dogs in small cages as attached below)

3. The dogs are hurt with objects for the matter of disciplining them so that there would not be noise complaints from the neighbors. This treatment also applies to the dogs who are left for lodging and boarding.

4. The dogs are fed less because the owner tries to save the food costs. (this includes dogs kept for lodging and boarding, even after their owners have paid for the food expenses. This is the reason why many of them would lose weight during their stay at the cafe) Due to this, and other reasons stated above many dogs are no more. People who are regular at the place will know the names of these dogs. My heart sinks to state these name. Muffin(shitzu, 2 yrs old), Gutlu (Shitzu, age 7 yrs), Bella (golden retriever, 2 yrs), Champ and Alex(siberian husky, age 10 months), Pao-Pao(chao chow), Pringle (Frenchie, age 9mnths) and many more dogs and puppies.

5. The cuddle zone is usually overcrowded (many have mentioned this in their reviews). As a result, causing stress to the inhouse dogs.

6. The owner's answer to all these above reviews were as following;
- "You need to show the dogs that you are the alpha by hurting them and scaring them so that they are disciplined"
- "Dogs sleep for long hours, which is why many looked tired." which is not true especially when the dogs are already exhausted behind bars for 12 hrs or more during the non-working hours.
