Our fear has become a reality. The same pet stores that say they love our pets as much as we do are selling bunny meat to cats and dogs. There are a MILLION other options. Pet stores sell bunnies food, treats, bedding and select items for rabbits but then sells them as food! How would you feel buying your cat or dogs food and seeing cat and dog meat sold at your pet store?

Why is this important? Bunnies are HOUSEHOLD pets. They are the third household pet right next to cats and dogs and they are growing to be pets at ample speed. Bunnies are family to so many owners just like your cats and dogs are family to you. People protest for their cats and dogs but don’t bat an eye about rabbits. It’s time for people to know how amazing rabbits are and how much they mean to their human family. Rabbits can get as big as a chihuahua and can live to be ten-thirteen years old. My rabbits are social, they play, they jump on the couch to be with me, they greet me when I come home and chase me to the door when they don’t want me to go to work. My bunnies go out with me and are very well behaved. They are potty trained and they have a routine. They chase me to go to the fridge because they know there’s vegetables in there. They learned to sniff what hand has the hidden treats and are trainable for agility.

My point is bunnies are amazing pets and are literally half cat, half dog, half human personality. Bunnies are not the favored pet due to them being exotic and maintenance but there are more bunny owners than you know. My bunnies also spoil me with a mad amount of kisses. These pets are amazing and NEED more CREDIT than they get.

No cat or dog owner would put up with dog or cat meat at a pet store so WHY should bunny owners?

Sign this petition to STOP rabbit meat being sold at Pet Supply. Either they see them as pets or they see them as food. And rabbits are NOT food. It would be like eating a cat or dog. Please support this cause.
