Petition presented to Milton Keynes City Council

On 20 November 2024 Nick Mole from PAN UK and I, with the strong support of our active group of campaigners, presented our petition for a pesticide free Milton Keynes to Milton Keynes City Full Council.  Shanika Mahendran, Cabinet Member for Economy, Sustainability and Innovation, stated that, in the framework of their current review, they are trying very hard to reduce pesticide use to as close to zero as possible.  This is a huge step in the right direction.  Hopefully we will not see the spraying tractors in our residential streets in Spring.

We are now waiting for agreement from the Parks Trust, which manages 6000 acres of our green space and 80 miles of our verges, to present our petition to them in person.
