We believe deeply in our heart of hearts that no one should be left without a roof over their head. In our city alone, there are over 250 residents in Johnson County who are experiencing the harsh reality of homelessness. This is not an abstract situation, but an ongoing struggle we witness every day in Lenexa.

Our proposal is for the approval of a Special Use Permit that would allow the establishment of a Homeless Services Center at 9461/9471 Lenexa Drive. This step is vital not only to provide our fellow community members with basic services, but also to give them hope, and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Cities that have invested in similar programs have seen substantial decreases in homelessness. Let's follow their example and create a place where everyone can access the support they need to truly thrive.
