In 2025, Disney's very first animated feature film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (AKA "The Story That Started It All") finally got the live action remake treatment!! It came out nearly 90 years since the original animated classic premiered in 1937! Also, the title got shortened to "Snow White" which I'm assuming was to differentiate it from the original classic. I loved the remake so much! It was just as cute, fun, magical, and enchanting as the original classic and even surpassed it in many ways! But yes, the original classic is still wonderful and always will be. I think both of them are wonderful in their own ways! I now consider this movie to be one of Disney's greatest live action remakes of all time and another one of the best movie adaptations of the beloved fairytale! Unfortunately, I heard the remake received so much controversy and didn't do so well at the box office. Many people supposedly hated the movie which I find absolutely unbelievable and preposterous!! It was such a wonderful movie in my opinion!! It deserves as much acclaim, praise and appreciation as the original classic!!! I would absolutely love to see the story continue somehow! At the moment, I'm not totally sure if Disney has any plans to make a Snow White 2. There have been rumors and speculations which brings both possibilities and doubts about a sequel. I truly believe it's possible for this to happen because Disney usually are masterminds at all this. Also, I'm worried that all the undeserved controversy for this movie might prevent Disney from going through with a sequel. I really hope it's still possible for a Snow White 2 to happen despite all this!! However, I recently came across an article on Yahoo.com which talked about Gal Gadot (who played The Evil Queen) expressing her interest in returning for a sequel despite the movie's undeserved controversy. This means that if they did do a continuation, Snow White's stepmother will return somehow! So there might be a tiny glimmer of hope for a live action Snow White 2 someday in the near future. They were also planning a prequel about the seven dwarfs which was either called "Snow White II" or "The Seven Dwarfs." Unfortunately, both projects got cancelled. However this movie company called Filmation released a movie called "Happily Ever After" in 1989 which was kind of intended to be a sequel to Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Or maybe mostly for the original story in general. But unfortunately, Filmation got shut down after that possibly because the movie supposedly wasn't very good. A live action Snow White 2 could be Disney's chance to make up for all this!! Here's another thing that bothers me: Disney's "Maleficent" (2014) is currently the only Disney live action remake to get a sequel which is called "Maleficent Mistress of Evil" (2019). It was actually just as good as the original! Not only that but I heard they have a "Maleficent 3" in the works! However, they actually have a live action "Lilo and Stitch 2" in development as well!! I loved the remake so much!! Also, the live action Lion King (2019) recently got a prequel called "Mufasa: The Lion King" and was very successful! Not only that, but I heard some of the other remakes might be getting continuations too possibly. Since Disney's sequels and prequels are starting to pick up, I truly believe they should give one to Snow White (2025) as well!! It's one of the live action remakes that deserves and needs a continuation just like"Maleficent" and "Lilo and Stitch!!" A sequel could delve deeper into the characters’ lives, possibly exploring Snow White's future as a queen, her continued relationship with the dwarfs, and the challenges she might face in her new life. From thrilling new adventures to heartwarming tales of friendship and love, there is so much creative potential yet to be tapped!  For lovers of enchanting tales and magical adventures, the idea of a "Snow White 2" is an exciting prospect full of possibilities. This sequel could explore the next chapters in Snow White and Jonathan's life, showing their beautiful wedding, their reign as the new king and queen, perhaps the joy, adventures (and chaos!) of raising children, and deepening the rich story of these beloved characters.  A sequel offers countless opportunities to delve into the fascinating history of the Jonathan and the mysterious past of the Evil Queen. It could also reveal secrets and add layers to characters we adore, such as the Seven Dwarfs, who always bring humor and heart to the story. Imagine new songs that captivate audiences, new enchanting lands to discover, and a narrative that brings both nostalgia and fresh excitement to viewers of all ages. Creating "Snow White 2" would not only satisfy the desires of fans like me who fell in love with both the remake and the original classic but could also expand Disney's storytelling legacy, offering a new generation the chance to experience the magic. This film could continue to promote strong themes of courage, love, kindness, and resilience, which are needed now more than ever. Let's face it, the original Disney's Snow White has been a timeless classic since its release in 1937, capturing the hearts of generations with its enchanting story and memorable characters.
